Spring-a-ling-a-ding-ding-dong

In mid-March, I had two visitors of the Manitoba kind. They also happened to be my parents and upon their arrival, I presented them with gifts that I picked up in London and Paris. I was very excited about the souvenir I purchased for my Dad that I made him promise I could take a picture of him with it before I gave it to him. We all had a good laugh.
Since my Mother also happens to be a fantastic cook, I shoe-horned her into cooking dinner for me and my friends and what a delightful feast she prepared!
I invited Jean and Maya over and we had a nice family dinner.
During that time, Easter also arrived and I celebrated the occasion as any normal human would, with chocolate and tulips (my favoritest flower).
Poor Mr. Nibbles.
It’s been over a month since I arrived back from London and things are slowing turning over a new leaf here. And by turning over a new leaf, I mean that maybe a leaf will be showing up soon. We’ve had snow as recently as two weeks ago. Sick. I decided last Thursday that spring was here and went out in search of some sign.
As you can tell, I reeeeally love the macro setting on my camera-rah. Yesiree, I think there may be a tinge of hope that spring is here. Poor Manitoba folk would probably mock me for suggesting that it’s not the dead of summer with the plants and lack of snow, but alas, this is not MB.
April is already whizzing by, leaving a flurry of activity in its wake. Soon, my dear friend Maya will be heading back to Japan, but not before we send her on her way properly – more tom-foolery dead ahead.
Until then, I’ll be dozing at my desk getting year-end wrapped-up.
