Giggity giggity. Um...what's up?...awkward...
Today is hot. Accordingly, I'm wearing some lovely cropped jeans I purchased recently from the 'net. You see, they would be truly lovely if they were actually the fuppin' size I ordered. Excuse me, if I order a size 30, that means I don't fit into a size 29. Idiots.
Turns out there were some snaps I took and skipped before my last blog. So, here are the snaps and the stories, in all their glory, perfect for Sunday reading:
Prior to the wedding I was at last weekend, there was a dood get-together (sausage fest) at my house (I was banished to the computer room), but I snuck out to take pictures of the takeover of my kitchen:
Hot dog buns & beer
Beans & chips
And tons of beer (in MY fridge! Shock!) and sausage (hence the sausage fest...no really)
After the doods left to go shoot each other at Extreme Tactics, I went for a lovely walk around my 'hood.
Awww yeah...straight gangsta. The site of the infamous shoot-out...that hasn't happened yet.
Then I came back and watched my illegal copy of the Chronicles of Narnia.
Yeah...it was okay, but what a friggin' slow start. Geeze Louise.
The next day was a trip to the 'Tona for a gathering. Now, all you who have never been to Altona, prepare yourselves for the amazement....
Okay, here it is:
My former workplace. I was a baker. Tear...
Holy crap...it's downtown...it's a street.
The (best) restaurant in town, owned by Marty's sister and husband.
We have a McDonald's that used to be a mechanic garage. Jealous? You know you are!!
Yeah...I actually know those people on the bikes.
Okay, you can wakie wakie now. Let's move on to something else.
I saw a cool cloud.
I kept hoping for the end of the world, but alas. Here still sits my sorry ass.
Look ma! I took a pretty picture!
This was actually Marty's corsage from being an user at the wedding last weekend, and the background is my tablecloth. Impressed yet? No, me neither.
One of the best movies of our time. Jean told me she hated my picture, so I changed it. She's never seen Dumb & Dumber, so I'm going to harrass her until she begs me to watch it. Mwhahahahahaha! I'm so lame.
So at work last week, we got a pet dinosaur which I named Crunchy aka. Gus Galue.
Upon entering the Corporate Accounting Department, he was set right to work. I believe he was told by a nameless manager, "We don't care what species you are, we are going to work you to the bone until you get pregnant and go on maternity leave."
Poor Crunchy was so determined to work, he used my desk whenever I left for a few minutes. Mike and him became fast friends.
The little bastard eventually became so determined to have my desk that he started wearing my shoes and eating my crackers.
So I killed him, stuffed him, and now he sits on top of the filing cabinet.
No big deal.
Construction season only officially begins next week Wednesday according to the calendar, but Winnipeg likes to get an early start and so I sit in my car and be late for work, as I was on Friday.
The end is near indeed.
The manager decided we should all go to the Salisbury House for lunch (yum...not).
At the end of Friday, I was ready to go home. Friggin month-end...friggin consolidation...friggin everything.
It was off to Altona this weekend for my friend Jenna's wedding.
It was nice, for a wedding. Between the wedding and reception, me, Marty, Kelly and Cephas hung out at the Altona mall (because we are street like that.)
When we got back to the church, we bummed around until the doors opened for food time.
Suzy was freakin starving. I kept saying retarded things, so she gave me looks.
Scott and Cephas
Marty telling one of his 1,192,283,154 stories.
Us with La Funk.
Reception was pretty decent. It was catered by my cousin Carolyn, and the food was served by a small army of all my cousins' children.
Scott and Marty. They love each other.
Cephas. Just Cephas.
This Lori. She was a bridesmaid and Jenna's sister. The dress didn't have straps, so Lori tanned her own. So innovative.
Suzy is hot. Suzy makes good food. Suzy made these cupcakes for Jenna:
Yesterday was also Kelly's birthday, so after we got back to Winnipeg, we went to see X-Men 3. DAMN! Best of my life! I love those friggin X-Men. Um...but one in particular caught my attention...
Um...yes. Very noice!
After the movie, we went to Montana's for some eatin. Marty and Ceph ordered some fuppin' hot wings and burned the shizz out of their mouths. Nice one guys.
Nice face.
Nice face.
Our waitress's name was 'Night B' according to the bill. Best! So I kept referring to her as the night b.
Today is chill. Just doing some preliminary planning for the big upheaval of life, so I best get to it. Probably going for some Chinese with the p-rents in a bit. Today I have to give their camera back, so I am quite sad about that. I'm also still wearing these crops, but with the tags attached...heh heh for the poor sucker who gets these once I return them. I get my kicks.
I'm so lame today. *heart*
