Late August saw me welcoming my sister into the wonderful province I love so much. Now I have her here for at least four years! Mwahahahaha. Since she wanted some fun before resigning herself to studying and Mayuko and I were itching to get out and see more stuff, we spent the Saturday of September long weekend exploring more of the wonderful fruits of Vancouver.

We started our day right with a delicious bowl of ramen from my shop of choice, Benkei.

After dining and wandering Robson Street, we headed out on to the water, taking the Seabus from Waterfront to the Lonsdale Quay.

After arriving back at Waterfront, we moseyed our way to Granville Island to peruse the wares and enjoy the sun.

Vancouver

We concluded our adventure with a dinner stop at the casino in Langley for an $8 all-you-can-eat extravaganza. I will be a frequent customer (and try not to get fat as a result.) The next day we decided our last adventure should something natural and scenic (as if Vancouver isn’t scenic enough.) We headed in the opposite direction and found ourselves at Harrison Hot Springs.

On Mayuko’s last night in Canada, we reasoned that we should end the night symbolically with more food. After dinner, we went to White Spot.

Yes. This was how it really was afterward. So stuffed.

The next morning I said goodbye to Mayuko as her tour group left for Japan. Thankfully, it was only the period of a few short weeks before I would see her again! You see…I leave for Japan in four days… :)
